Barn Wedding Photography

Jodie and Jack had their wedding on a glorious day in the summer of 2016 at The Ashes in Endon, Staffordshire. I started the day with some prep at the lovely Rose Cottage in Endon which is a great place to stay if you are getting married at the Ashes. Immaculate cottages that are on the doorstep of the venue. We moved on to the Old Dairy to continue the bridal prep and Jodie got the final touches done there in the luxurious bridal prep room there.

Jack arrived a few hours later with his ushers and began welcoming the guests. Jodie’s bridesmaids wore some very colourful cerise red dresses that perfectly complimented the flowers which were made by The Topiary Tree Florist.

Bright Colourful Confetti Photograph

Lots of couples bring their own confetti to their weddings so that they can get a great confetti photograph but I’ve yet to see more colourful confetti than the type Jodie and Jack brought. Tons of the stuff and their confetti photograph has to be one of my favourites I’ve taken. When it comes to confetti photographs more really is more!

Close up Magicians at your Wedding

Jodie and Jack hired the very awesome Jester Styles Magic to entertain their guests between the meal and the evening and the weather was so nice that they were able to spend the whole evening reception outside. Whilst he did that we went for a wander down to the bridge and the corn to get a few more portraits with Jodie’s Daughter. It’s always nice to get a break away from the wedding for 15 minutes just to chill out and grab a few lovely photos.

Natural Sparkler Wedding Photography

Having sparklers is quite popular at weddings and Jodie and Jack brought a number of them. There are lots of things you can do with sparklers but we decided we just wanted to capture a very natural photograph of Jodie and Jack with their guests holding their sparklers. I really like this style of sparkler photograph instead of the more obvious letter writing that has been done so many times over the years.
