Pendrell Hall – Nic and Neil
Craft Beer Themed Wedding
I’m a massive fan of beer. I mean who isn’t? When Nic and Neil told me they were too and that the theme of their wedding was going to be independent craft breweries my eyes lit up. Picking a theme for your centre pieces is a great way to express to your guests a little bit about yourself. Nic and Neil really enjoy trying different craft beers. Everything from simple session IPAs to far out there barley wines and beers infused with basil or flavoured with pina colada!
So they decided to have their wedding at the magnificent Pendrell Hall, in Staffordshire. I woke up that morning and was greeted by a lovely dusting of snow. Thats the first snow I’ve had at Pendrell, it didn’t hang around for long but it was there long enough for me to get a lovely white carpet shot of the venue when I arrived.
Hops at your Wedding
The first thing that greeted me as I walked through the doors of Pendrell hall was the venue dresser putting up a huge wreath of hops. The smell was divine and it looked fantastic across the iconic fireplace at Pendrell Hall. That was just the start, Nic and Neil had chosen to continue their theme for the wedding reception drinks as well with Brewdogs flagship Punk IPA and their more subtle 5am Saint offered to guests whilst they mingled around the venue. It seemed to go down very well.
Craft Beer Centrepieces
The table names were all individually named after various independent craft breweries, mainly found in the UK. We had Burning Sky, Magic Rock, Beavertown, Northern Monk, To Øl, The Kernel, Cloudwater, Mikkeller and of course Brewdog. The guys contacted Brewdog to purchase some of their small Mosella tasting glasses and Brewdog very kindly donated them. Nic and Neil then put a few bottles and cans of a beer hand picked from each brewery, which they purchased from their favourite craft beer shop in Burslem, Otters Tears, onto each table for the guests to sample and try. Now thats one wedding where I wish I was actually a guest instead of taking the pictures 😉
